Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation

You may roll your eyes when you hear or see an ad for a personal injury or workers’ compensation law firm. You may be outraged when you hear of seemingly enormous amounts of money awarded to victims who appear to be only slightly injured. The fact remains, however, that in many situations — those that don’t make the news — another’s negligence or malpractice may be real and may result in significant injuries and loss. In those cases, a victim can be awarded a more reasonable sum to compensate them for injuries, lost wages and future needs. Timing can be critical to the recovery for injuries and other loss. If you are injured by the negligence of others, on the job or off, in person or involving a motor vehicle, or by the malpractice of a doctor or other professional (doctors are not the only professionals that commit malpractice; lawyers, engineers, architects and others sometimes commit malpractice), you should consult with an attorney as soon as possible to have your case evaluated. A person injured may have to live with the injuries caused by another. Without commencing a lawsuit, redress for those injuries and compensation for the future is often not possible.
